There are functions for handwritten cards and letters, and we like to get them. Most of us like to send it to them. But... so what?
This is my philosophy: get rid of all cards and letters that do not increase happiness. Keep the important things; reuse everything else.
These are the seven things I like to do with all the cards and letters I receive.
If you really want to keep them, scan them-they will take up less space. Create a folder on your computer, such as "Christmas 2020", or "2020" for all letters received subsequently, or for all letters received from a specific family over the years.
I like to combine letters with my own stories because they provide a different perspective on life events.
I keep a diary as simple as the diary in my shop. All I have to do is punch out postcards and letters and put them in my diary. I do the same with photos and ticket stubs. I will add my own ideas-theme set.
Beautiful poems and cute pictures are perfect for gift tags. Use them free of charge throughout the year.
I like to crop them out when taking images-hearts, snowmen, fairies. I punched a hole in the cut, and then stringed it with ribbon or string. My label is kept in an envelope with other packaging materials.
Looking for the perfect quote or beautiful image to save your memory? The items on the card are perfect and ready to use, especially at Christmas and weddings.
From Girl Scouts to the YMCA and Kiwanis Summer Camp programs, many organizations can use the top of your card for craft projects throughout the year. Ask your local camp if there is a need.
The St. Jude Children’s Ranch, an organization that helps children at risk, accept credit card payments all year round. They re-adjust your card to the new card and sell it to raise funds for the organization.
In the end, don’t throw notes, cards, and postcards into the recycling bin. This is not a statement about how you feel about this person. You admired this card at the time. You still appreciate this person.
Be selective about the reserved cards-a few dear friends or family are enough. You want to return that person’s story, so you can only post it on emails that help this matter.
Put all items in a box so that you have a fixed place to archive the items to be returned. Save the emails in a dedicated digital folder so that they can also be included. You may want to sneak up-write to the person you choose so that they tend to do so.
